Jack Horner's Corner - A Labor of Love

~ Thursday, June 2, 2016

Stargazing, campfires, river swimming and long summer bike rides along the river describe the best parts of spending the summers in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Stewart and Chrissie Horner the owners of Jack Horner's Corner in Seebert,WV would agree as their love story began as so many other who experience love while visiting the mountain state in the summer.

One summer day 21 years ago Stewart Horner and Chrissie Stevens met at Jack Horner's Corner.  In 1994 Stewart, originally from Green Bank WV, bought the original store, which  he then named Jack Horner's Corner. One year after opening Jack Horner's Corner Stewart met Chrissie while she was camping at Riverside Campground in Watoga State Park. Chrissie from Belington, WV, and like most visitors to the area,  visited the store to rent a bike for the day. And the rest , as they say, is history.

What do they do for fun? Stewart enjoys taking drives through Watoga State Park and looking at all the wildlife the park has to offer. Chrissie enjoys floating and tubing in the Greenbrier River.  The Greenbrier River and Greenbrier River Trail just happen to run alongside Jack Horner's Corner's property.

Without hesitation when asked who are their favorite visitors to the store they say they love laid back summer guests these mountains bring them each year.

All around Pocahontas County Jack Horner's Corner is known for their delicious pizzas and soft serve ice cream. They say what sets them apart is seeking out the best quality products they can find. They keep quality at their highest priority.
With a laid back atmosphere, great food, arcade games, souvenirs and recreation rentals Jack Horner's Corner is a must stop spot in Pocahontas County.
