Event starts begins and end at the Pocahontas County Opera House on Third Avenue in Marlinton WV. One of the most powerful examples of community is this annual event which gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. The Marlinton event is one of the biggest in the area. The day starts off with a survivors’ breakfast and opening ceremonies at 9:00 a.m. The Walk begins at 10:30 a.m. Show your support with funding or just by coming on down and cheering people on. Together we CAN make a difference. For more information on the local event, contact either Cheryl Cain at 304-799-7162 or Barbara Campbell at 304-799-6507.
